A Huge House III was a University of Sydney Master of Architecture induction studio taught in collaboration with Guillermo Fernandez-Abascal of GFA2 Architects. The studio focused on the design of student housing for Indigenous Australian students, asking how shared domestic life might be reimagined with respect for Indigenous Australian cultures and ways of living.

Working within the Connecting to Country framework, students were encouraged to approach design as a process of co-creation, considering relationships between people, place, community and everyday life.

The studio explored adaptive reuse through the existing University of Sydney International House on City Road. Students developed careful proposals for its refurbishment, examining how sustainable and meaningful interventions could extend the life of the building while responding to new forms of collective living.
