Research Practice
We believe design and research are inseparable. Teaching serves as our playground for architectural experimentation. Our practice is equally driven by our interest in Himalayan vernacular architecture. We run yearly research trips to understand local building cultures—documenting craft, materials, and regional construction details. We study this vernacular knowledge, and contemplate how local details might be improved with contemporary construction.
